Welcome
The truth is, if you've clicked onto this website, you already know
something about Hoyland's most recognised landmark - Lowe Stand.
If not, then feel free to click on the History section of this site, and delve into the history and facts of the stand.
The Friends of Hoyland Lowe Stand are committed to promote further awareness of the landmark and raise funds, which hopefully
in turn, can be used to protect it's future and also start on a long journey of perhaps one day, restoring Hoyland's pride...
Our Aims.......
- To increase awareness of the landmark - locally & nationally.
- To protect the landmark from a sale that wouldn't benefit the Stand.
- To protect the landmark from decay and potential collapse.
- To work with Barnsley MBC to ensure the interests of the Stand always come first if any adjacent land to it is sold
etc.
- And Finally....To one day hopefully restore it...
Lowe Stand, Hoyland, Barnsley >>>>
